Bring your mix to life and your music to its highest potential.
with Mike (aka Michellion)
You have good-sounding recorded and edited tracks. Mike will take your tracks and make them come to life, turning those good tracks into great-sounding songs.
How It Works
Send in your raw, edited tracks along with a note or reference tracks for how you want your song to sound (links are fine).
I work my magic, bringing your mix to life. I polish and refine your tracks, and I sculpt a professional sound that brings out your music's feel and energy. I get your feedback on the mix along the way and make adjustments per your instructions. We repeat this process until you're 100% satisfied and your track is exactly how you want it.
You receive the final mix in MP3 and high-resolution WAV files. Your track is clean and polished, and ready to be mastered (or I could master the track for you). You are happy and thrilled with how good your music sounds, and you can't wait to share it!

FAQs
Q: Do I pay 100% now?
A: No. Pay 50% now and 50% once you approve the final mix.
Q: What genres do you work with?
A. I mix in any genre as the engineering fundamentals are the same. However, my mixing style honors the basic sounds and techniques of the song's genre while giving the listener a new and pleasant experience. I have extensive experience mixing Acoustic music, Rock, Pop, Folk, Country, RnB, Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, Soundtracks, and Advertising Jingles.
Q: What file formats will the final mixes be delivered in?
A. After you approve the final mix you'll receive file formats in MP3 and 24-bit WAV files. This way you'll have both a convenient-sized file and a high-quality original. You'll receive Pre-Mastered versions, as well as "Mastered" versions. These "Mastered" versions are brought up to normal volume levels using a limiter on the master bus so you can get an idea of how it'll sound once it's actually mastered. Other file formats are available on request.
Q: How many revisions are included in your service?
A: You get unlimited revisions (within reason). Most clients approve the edits after just one pass. Sometimes we'll need an extra revision, and hardly ever more than that. But don't fret! We'll make as many revisions as needed, within sensible limits, til your tracks are exactly how you want them.
Q: What's the turnaround time to complete a mix of one song?
A: Assuming the tracks are already edited, cleaned, tuned, and ready to mix, for a typical 3:00 min song with no more than 30 tracks it'll take about 4 business days, give or take. I'll have a more specific time frame once I see your project.
Q: What if my tracks aren't edited yet, can you take care of that in addition to mixing?
A: Yes, I and my team can take care of this as an additional service to mixing your song. We'll compile (aka "comp") your tracks with your best-sounding takes, remove unwanted sounds like pops and clicks, clean them up, and time and pitch correct them. Sign up on the Editing page so we can take care of this tedious and time-consuming task for you.
Q: Since you're already mixing my track can you master it as well?
A: Yes. During the checkout process, you'll have the opportunity to add Mastering for your song(s). Because you're signing up for Mixing you will get a discount of at least $10/song and up to $58/song, depending on how many songs you sign up for.
Q: How do you want me to deliver my tracks to you?
A: After the checkout process you'll be guided to where you can send your tracks. You'll receive step-by-step instructions on how to prepare, export, and send/upload your tracks.
Generally speaking, you'll want to export all individual tracks so that they start at zero time / the exact same time. This ensures that every track lines up correctly in my DAW. Also, export them in at least a 44.1k sample rate and 24-bit (other file formats are acceptable). Then, upload them here via Google Drive, or email them to MakeMyMusicGreat@michellion.com using your favorite platform. Here are step-by-step instructions for each DAW on how to prepare, line up your tracks, export, and send.
Q: What are things I should listen for when assessing the mix?
A: Here are things to look for when listening:
Does the overall mix feel thick and rich versus thin and weak?
Is the mix punchy enough?
Do you like the groove?
Can you hear a 3D sound stage, from front to back, left to right, and up to down?
Does the mix’s energy feel like it builds up and breaks down where appropriate?
How’s the balance? Is there too much or too little of anything (instrument, reverb/delay, effects, etc)?
Overall, is the mix pleasing and emotion-inducing?
Is there anything else that sticks out to you as positive or needs adjusting?
Q: How do you prefer to communicate and collaborate with clients throughout the process?
A: We can communicate however you prefer most. I'm here to serve you the best I can. We can communicate via video or audio call, text, or email.
